Clay Gibson

Clay Gibson has worked in the insurance industry for the last thirty two years. Starting with State Farm Insurance in 1992 Clay was a multi-line fire claims adjuster. Over the next thirteen years he handled all manner of large losses and worked the Northridge earthquake and other large-scale disasters in multiple states. In 2005 Clay moved to CSAA and was a Large Loss Claims adjuster for the next three years. In 2008, Clay felt compelled to become more proactive in advocating for the insureds and joined the largest public adjusting company on the west coast. Clay is licensed in eleven states, and has fully invested himself in building the best outcome for his clients. Over the next eight years he handled both homeowner and business claims supporting his clients efforts to recover from their losses. The impact of his professional efforts was incredibly satisfying and the customer letters of recommendation validated his efforts.

With a degree in Education and an MBA , Clay has always had a passion for operations, teaching and coaching. In 2016 Clay became the Director of Operations leading the daily operations of the company including the adjusting & estimating teams. Leveraging his years of experience, ability to build and lead teams combined with his end-to-end operational knowledge the team grew and was very successful.

Later that year, Clay took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for the next 7 years. As COO, he continued to grow the company’s operations and service platform, supporting both the Santa Rosa and Napa wildfires. In January 2024, Clay joined the SunPoint Team as Vice President of Claims. Focusing on the customer experience, he is leading our Claims Operations Team to deliver the best results for our clients.
